Q: Honda CR-V?
Im getting a honda CR-V. Does anyone have one? If so, do you like it?

A: my mom has one and its an awesome car. i have my permit and i drive it sometimes and it truely is a great car. my mom said its the best car she ever had. she suggested it to my grandmother and my grandma got one too. neither of them has had a problem with the cars.

Q: How many bottle of oils does it take to change in a CR-V Honda 2009?
I was wondering how many bottle of oils does it take to change in a CR-V 2009 Honda?

A: the engine oil capacity is 4.4 U.S. quarts (4.2 liters) of oil when you change the oil and the filter. The filter holds about 8 ounces (.2 liter) so the capacity without the filter change would be 3.9 U.S. quarts or 4.0 liters. I don’t know the size of your bottles but it looks like you’ll need 5 to get it right if you are replacing the filter and 4 if you are not.

the oil should be a premium 5w20 weight oil

hope that helps

Q: Honda Cr-V?
Hey I have a 2004 CR-V with standard sound, the only thing I added was a JVC cd player.
I was wondering was it worth it to get other speakers and a subwoofer and what size should they be?
Sounds pretty good right now-lemme know.

A: its all personal choice … if you only get new speakers don’t blast the radio …high radio volume without an amp will send a distorted frequency and can blow them … if you want a sub know you nee an amp terminal kits wiring and so on but to find exactly what you want I’ve found tweeter is the best place to go

Q: Just got a 99 Honda cr-v and the remotes do not work. How do I check them?
I placed new batteries in the new 99 Honda cr-v that l got and the remotes still do not open the doors. How do l check them or reprogram them? There is no “clicking” sound as if the door unlocking mechanism is broken.

A: If all of your door locks don’t work the remote won’t make them work. So if you say that the door unlocking mechanism is broken are you saying that none of them work or only one doesn’t work? if none of them work the remote keyless can’t operate them remotely.

if the power locks work with the switches but not with the remotes there is a chance your remotes are not programmed to the car.

Follow the fhe steps below from the 99 CRV owner’s manual to program the remote transmitters

Programming the Transmitter
NOTES:
• The system accepts up to three transmitters. The
transmitter codes are stored in a stacking-type
memory. If a fourth transmitter code is programmed,
the code for the first transmitter is erased.
• Entering the programming mode cancels all learned
transmitter codes, so none of the previously
programmed transmitters will work. You must
reprogram all of the transmitters once you are in the
programming mode.
• You must complete each step within 4 seconds of
the previous step to keep the system from exiting the
programming mode. Program the transmitters within
10 seconds.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Press the “Lock” or “Unlock” button on one of the
transmitters. (An unprogrammed transmitter can be
used for this step.)
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
4. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 two more times using the
sa5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
6. Press the “Lock” or “Unlock” button on the same
transmitter. Make sure the power door locks cycle
to confirm that the system is in programming mode.
7. Within 10 seconds, press the “Lock” or “Unlock”
button on each transmitter. Make sure the power
door locks cycle after you press each transmitter
button to confirm that the system accepted the
transmitter’s code.
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) to exit the
programming mode.me transmitter used in step 2.

hope that helps

Q: Buying new Honda CR-V. Dealer found a scratch on the windshield, So he is replacing it. Can I still buy it ?
I have gone to Honda dealer and ordered a new Honda CR_V by putting 500$ deposit. On the day of the delivery, dealer found a scratch on the windshield and said he will replace it with a new one. Lot of places I read the if the windshield is not properly installed, it will cause some problems.
Should I still take the car from this dealer after the windshield replacement ?

A: it is a new vehicle and is covered under waranty. to satisfy your concern though, find out what company is installing the new windshield and you can check with the better business bureau, consumer affairs and see if the company has had many complaints about their work.

If you still feel at unease, ask the dealer to switch to a different CRV.

Q: How can you get a 2008 Honda CR-V to have a smoother ride?
Wondering what kind of shocks or springs would make my 2008 Honda CR-V drive smoother and have a softer ride.

A: My inclination would be to try the simple things first. Try changing the wheels and tyres so that you can run a higher profile tyre. The taller sidewalls in the tyres will give better shock absorbency without compromising the handling too much.

I’d be a little cautious about changing the springs and shocks on an SUV to give a softer ride because you run the risk of making the car more susceptible to rolling and, therefore, less stable.

Q: Why Does my 2007 Honda CR-V sound so hollow on the inside?
My 2007 Honda CR-V makes the loudest most hollow sound on the inside. I do not know what to do with it. I have found this car is not very quality. Although, I would like to keep it and have it quiet. Any feedback would be well appreciated!

A: well Honda’s aren’t made like a Chevy!
but i really have no idea.

Q: How do you disable the horn on a 97 Honda CR-V?
For whatever reason after it rains the horn on my Honda cr-v goes off unexpectedly. The only way I have found to make it stop is removing the fuse. Problem with that is it also disabled the gear shift and I am unable to get the car out if park. Please help, everything else works fine in the car, I own it and do not have any money to repair the problem correctly at this time. If anyone could tell me how to only disable the horn without effecting anything else but the horn I will be so relieved :) .

A: look under the hood, a lot of the time the horn is near the radiator, but who knows…It looks like a little black circular thing, almost like a speaker in a way…cut the wires.

Q: How many miles will a Honda CR-V go for?
I am looking into buying a 1999 Honda CR-V. It already has 141,000 miles on it, but they are only asking just under $5,000. Is it a good deal? And I was wondering how much longer it would go for? If anyone has any information on anything about them that would be great! Thanks!!

A: There is no magic number. All modern cars are designed to last 10 years and 150k miles.

If you take good care of it and dont abuse it they can last longer. If you dont take care of it and abuse it then it would be dead by now. The best you could do now is have someone qualified that you trust check it out. They could give you a good idea of its current condition and past history.

Q: can anyone tell me the functions and specifications of Honda CR-V?
I want some information about the Honda CR-V of the last generations. Not the 2007 ones.

A: I own one and mine is 2004 and i haven’t done any mechanical problem yet. it runs great with four wheel drive and gas a better gas mileage and 160 hp so I like the interior with the shift Leger right to the steering will on the dashboard and it unique a/c control and it has a lot of storage and you gonna love this you know on the rear back seat if you open the bottom you will find a camping table set mounted on the rear seat ground from inside so and i also like the sound system and the design so go head buy it. its a great car and check on eBay to see the CRV pictures inside and out. I Will recommended better the Toyota RAV4 or Saturn VUE

Q: How many gallons are in the tank of a 2000 Honda CR-V?
How many gallons are in the tank of a 2000 4WD Honda CR-V SE? And approximately what is the gas mileage?

A: 15.3 gallon tank
4-Speed Automatic Overdrive 22 / 25 mpg

Q: How much should I pay for a 2008 Honda CR-V LX?
I am thinking about purchasing a Honda CR-V, either the new 2008 model or the previous year. I just want the base model, LX. Invoice sticker on the 2008 says it is approximately $19,250. Should I bargain for this price or below? If you’ve purchased a new Honda CR-V, how much did you pay?

A: Edmunds.com is the best way to go. I paid 23,000 (all total, including tax and all that) for my 2007 CR-V LX, and I bargained the HELL out of the dealers (they even offered me a job after I signed the papers, but I declined). You’re not going to be able to bargain a whole lot because the CR-Vs are extremely easy to move, and if you don’t buy it they’ll have no problem finding someone else that will. But it’s a great car, and apart from a bit of road noise, I have had 0 problems with it, and there are tons of people out there who have had their CR-Vs last 200k+ miles. I know the new electronic stability control has saved my life several times already.

Q: Is there a switch that allows me to lower the antenna on a Honda CR-V EX?
Is there a switch that allows me to lower the antenna on a Honda CR-V EX?

A: You have to do it manually.

Q: Will installing a CB in a Honda CR-V void a Toyota used car warranty?
I purchased a 2004 Honda CR-V from a Toyota dealership a few weeks ago and I was wondering if installing a CB radio in it would void the 3 year factory warranty I purchased on it.

A: It shouldn’t void the warranty. If you are worried about hard wiring the unit into the electrical system and messing something up, try putting a 12V dc plug on the radio’s power wire and plugging it into the cigarette lighter plug.

Q: honda cr-v?
what do you ppl think about this ride? Is it roomy and how does it drive on bumpy roads. And if i were to take it on a trip is it comfortable for like say a six hr drive.

A: Yes my mom drives one and they are the bomb! I do say if you have kid cargo you should check into the Honda Pilot. My mom gets gas about every week and it gets about 27 mph highway and 24 city. Amazing car and we hope to get a new one soon!
