A: I have a 2001 4×4 F-150 super crew… I added a billet grille, tonneau cover, running boards and a visor with amber maker lights for the “mini-big rig” look. I also added an Alpine stereo with a kenwood 6″ subwoofer that fits under my back seat and is iPod compatible. Other than those additions mine is pretty much stock and functional for what it is….. a truck. Hope these ideas spark some of your own and happy motoring!!

BTY, Dodge trucks have sold only about 1/4 of the Ford trucks each year. They are a distant 3rd to everything else. That may be why the F-150 has been the best selling vehicle in the US for more than 20 years – including cars. That’s a hard record to beat. Sorry Dodge girl, but your truck sucks.

A: I would use POR-15 to paint the frame as it comes in gloss black and a matt black and your frame will never rust with that stuff on it and stone chips will never happen as you can hit it with a hammer and it won’t chip or crack and water is perminately sealed out of the metal, it’s expensive ($34.) a quart but worth it.

A: have not worked on an F-150 my self but there are usually special tools needed to disconnect fuel lines that you can pick up at your local auto parts store depending on what kind it is. when you disconnect, watch out for the pressure in the line, might squirt everywhere. wear safety glasses.

The F-150 is mine and the Sequoia is a friends.. i also have a 1997 ford thunderbird and i can burnout in that one easy..but when we try it in the other 2 cars the cars just “get down” or seem to lower but no tire spin?
A: first of all is you f-150 a 4wd or a 2wd
to do a burnout you can put a little bit of used oil down and that will help the tires start to spin. And with the car same thing little bit of oil.
And that should get you burning the rubber off real quick

A: my 2003 ranger 4×4 and my 2005 F-150 4×4 crewcab get about the same mpg. the ranger actually was worse until i put in a new thermostat and fan clutch

A: I ran the same truck. I used a K/N Air Filter, a Helix Power Tower, and a hollywood type muffler, not real loud but with less restriction than stock. In perfect conditions I was able to get 25 mpg. Same exact model truck.

A: Both those guys are idiots. You have a 5.4 which is an excellent platform. Start by figuring out exactly how much power you would like to make, what your going to be using it for (daily driver, racing ). If you would just like a little more power start out by getting a nice exhaust system(headers, catback) then you can move right into changing the throttle body mass airflow sensor plenum cold air intake a custom tune different rear end gear ratios. For big power and best bang for your buck i recommend a nice supercharger set up nitrous or a turbo kit. You could also go with a NA setup nice heads and cams. If you just want to spend a little money start out with a cold air intake , underdrive pullys , and a full exhuast.
