Q: Why should anybody buy a Chevrolet Traverse over a Buick Enclave?
The Buick Enclave is definitely one of the most elegant SUVs I have ever seen and plan to buy. Esthetically it has a lot more going for it than comparably sized German models (Audi Q7, BMW X5, Mercedes GL and VW Touareg) and Japanese makes (Lexus LX).
What sense does it make for GM to now introduce the Chevy Traverse. It looks like a bare-bones Enclave.
A: Price. Styling.
Not everyone can afford a Buick Enclave and not everyone appreciates all the chrome that comes on the Buick Enclave. The same goes for the GMC Acadia. For these people there is the Chevrolet Traverse. It’s GM’s interpretation of the minivan.
Buick Enclave competes with luxury Crossovers/SUVs like the ones you mentioned and it beats them. Chevrolet Traverse competes with regular crossovers/SUV’s like Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Ford Flex, etc.
The two vehicles compete in two completely different market segments. If any vehicle doesn’t make sense I’d say it’s GMC Acadia, because it doesn’t fit the brand profile (Professional Grade) and it somewhat competes with Enclave (luxury crossover/suv) even more so with the new Denali trim.
Q: What do you think about the all new Chevrolet Traverse?
I love it but what do you think??? What color would you get??
A: Good gas mileage for an 8 passenger vehicle. The enclave is a better ride and quieter ride. White is a good color but I like the silver. We have not had any problems and I would suggest you get the tow package factory installed.

considering both of these are around same price range and almost everything else is the same. still which one would be a good investment and have a good resale value and be reliable to drive in real bad snow?
A: Traverse all the way, the Highlander only has one advantage: resale value because the brand is well perceived.
Facts are that Toyota has been going down in quality and reliability lately and Chevrolet is one of the best, with Ford (look at the Ford Edge).
If you want to pay more and get less go with Toyota.
Q: USB IPOD Touch connection for 2010 Chevrolet Traverse?
I have just purchased a 3rd generation IPOD touch and have also just purchased a chevrolet 2010 Treaverse. The new car has a USB port and states in the users manual that it is compatable with the IPOD touch, nano, and classic. If it is working properly I should be able to control my IPOD from the radio controls and be able to see my music list on the radio display. At this time I am unable to get the radio to recognize the IPOD and will not allow its support and function. Is there anyone out there that has had success in connecting an IPOD through a USB connection in a Chevrolet Traverse?
A: no I have not but buy an aftermarket deck w/USB and problem solved

I am shopping for a black new traverse chevrolet and the only feature i want is leather seats.I want no extra gadgets with it,just the basic.I already went to 2 different dealers and the first one was playing with the numbers and see how much he can get from me, finally he said he can give it to me for31k including taxes and admin.fees but on gray color(black is more expensive).
The other location,the guy was a butt head and very pushy trying to see if i am trading in and if i have any discounts and bla bla bla…he went down to34K.

A: when i go to dealers for new cars/i look at their inventory/take hand calculator/find one you like and take 25% off the bottom bottom line/they will try to start the bull pappy but you are slightly under what they paid/make the offer/that you want the 28/500 for the whole thingy/if they start the bull pappy/say STOP/this is a very simple matter/do you want to sell it or not/somebody will want to sell one for that money and it could be y ou/yes or no/when he starts to babble again/say STOP and once you master this technique and succeed you will be like me/every body around the neighborhood wants me to go with them to buy new car

A: I would go with the CX9. It has better styling, is more reliable, and has better resale value. It is also better on gas.

A: Buy Honda CRV I have the 2005 CRV-EXL its fuel efficient and quiet, has lots of room, great safety , 4 wheel drive and comes with a great 5 year warranty for full product replacement so if a part breaks or wears out quickly honda will replace the part and whats causing the problem. the stereo system is great too. basically everything is great about this car.

A: Well, first of all, either option is good, because more of us need to be buying America cars 
However, I think the Traverse would be a better purchase. They’ve got fantastic reviews. Chevy really did do a great job with this vehicle. I know quite a few people who have one, and they all love theirs. Another option would be a Chevy Equinox. It’s not as big as the Traverse, but both of these vehicles are really great. But yeah, I would go with the Chevrolet Traverse, but in the end, it’s you who’s buying it, so get whichever one you like the most I hope this helped, and good luck with whatever you decide to get

This is why American cars can’t sell.
Why are they so stupid? Do they think that they can sell this this Lambda platform crap as something different? It’s the same thing as the Acadia, Outlook and Enclave….GM is still stuck in the stone age.
They did the same thing with the Pontiac Grand Am/ Oldsmobile Alero, Chevy Venture/Pontiac Montana and many other GM failures.
You keep costs down buy not making cars you don’t need.
GM needs to make new and more exciting designs.

A: The are optioned differently and priced differently more than in the past.
Rebadging isn’t a American thing. Its an automotive thing. VW/Audi is almost entirely a rebadge. Same goes for Nissan/Infinity and Toyota/Scion/Lexus. If you look a little deeper you will see that every major manufacturer in the world is doing it.

A: Sorry but you won’t get financed. No matter how much you put down. We’re in a recession. Credit is extremely tight. A lot of banks and lenders are closing up because of all the high risk loans they made to people with bad credit. Defaults are at an all time high. No one is doing that anymore.
In order to qualify for a loan today from a prime lender you must have at least a 725+ FICO score, less than 34% debt to income ratio, at less than 50% of your credit limits on your credit cards, no late pays and no other derogatory marks of any kind. For a subprime loan, it’s the same except they’ll accept a 650 FICO score and at less than 75% of your credit limits.
It’s bad news for you. But it’s the truth of what’s happening in the market today.

A: I love my CR-V! One thing I learned while researching before I bought it it has one of the top resale values of any car! If you get a newer model maintainance is very simple, the car basically tells you everything. It tells you when you need anything done like oil change or tires rotated I really really love my CR-V!
Q: What type of windshield wiper blades does a 2005 Chevy Cobalt use and where can I buy them?
I bought a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt in that year, and I have not changed the wiper blades since. The blades seem to be wearing out (i.e. – They frequently fail to get about 15% of the water off of the areas they traverse), and I want to replace them. I don’t know anything about windshield wiper blades. First of all, what type of blade does my car use? What is its designation? Secondly, from which stores can I cheaply buy decent brand replacements? Thanks.
A: The factory uses a special type of wiper blade on the cobalt cars.You do not need to replace the wiper blade unless its bent.You should stop by your local chevy dealers service dept.They can replace the wiper insert (rubber part) of the wiper blade and it will work like new again.This will also cost less than replaceing the wiper blade with a aftermarket blade that will not work as well or clean as well.Best of luck.
